It’s worth finishing the campaign.
I haven't read the rest of the rules but that is the first mention of it and it is in a diagram of the map, haha! SeaFall. The only important thing to know about claiming the Darkness Stirs Milestone, and unlocking Chest 1, with the Ship on it, is that none of the new contents get added when you complete the Milestone, but are added at the end of the game. Let me know in the comments below. SeaFall is a 'Legacy' board game, and like the players who play them, Legacy games 'remember' what happen from game to game. This also means I can’t make a Hints & Tips post for Game 2, because it will be very different depending on whether a new Chest has been unlocked or not. Your provinces are the East and the islands are West! The treasure cards are available for anyone to see, and damage and Advisors are returned to the bottom of their respective decks during the game. Each province is sure that the other was responsible for the loss of their leader. That being said, in the later game, post the prologue, it is possible to raid other ships, which could be quite fun. - The future is brighter than the past.
Each advisor can have their own name, and can massively swing the course of the game.
I was just filling out the form to buy it, and that came up and now I've realised I don't need that game as much as I thought I did.
I have an unopened copy of Seafall but we really need to finish our Gloomhaven campaign before starting another legacy game. If you are playing with 4 or 5, then it is possible that you will all be focused on different Milestones, and this will extend the game, but this would be the exception.
The number of successes rolled, indicate the max value of a site that may be plundered.
The player who finished last in the game (Ties are always settled in favour of the person with the least prominent Title in the game) gets to choose which Retired Adventurer they want, to help train their advisor. The game has been out for 2 years now, so if you come across something you’re unsure of, a Google search, including the name SeaFall, should get you an answer. Enmity placed in a Province makes it harder for them to Raid you again, but it won’t help you Raid them back until after Winter, when the Enmity is moved to At War With. Certain spoilers things took on new meaning. And as you have all the available Milestones in play at any time, the only way to get new ones is by unlocking a Chest, which you do by completing the Darkness Stirs Milestone.
Structure – Plunder value varies (and is in the top right of the tile), depending on the cost of the Structure.

Since we can’t really review a legacy game until we have either played the whole campaign or given up, I thought we would look closer at our first impressions of Seafall after having played the very first prologue mission. Year One – Red Province successfully Raids Green Province, Plunders their Warehouse, and places 3 Enmity on it. They get added immediately, and shuffled with all the Event cards, except for the active one. Place 4 Enmity tokens on the Vault. Not only that, but the raided player. We are all looking forward to playing the next mission over the next few weeks.
Now that you can Raid a Province, and remove a Treasure or Building, it is possible for someone to reach the target Glory on their turn, and then drop below it by the end of the round, by losing something that gives them Glory, like a Treasure or a Structure. It was only important a couple times, but this step helped my group reconstruct and decide how to deal with something done inadvertently with tired players. Obviously, we only played the prologue, but it will be interesting to see how it progresses as a game.

This was enough to get a flavour of the game; however, it was not enough to fully sink our teeth into.
First thing to cover is what Seafall is.Unlike with Risk Legacy, Pandemic Legacy, or Betrayal Legacy, Seafall is not based on a pre-existing property.It is, like Charterstone, a completely new and original game.The theme is nautical exploration, with the players playing as different factions who are all looking to rule the seven seas. At Winter – Red Enmity Tokens move from Greens Warehouse to Greens, Year Two – The 3 Red Enmity tokens in Greens. I think we’re about 2/3rds through Gloomhaven but without spoliing by looking ahead, it’s hard to say.
So if you have Raided a Province Warehouse, and left 3 Enmity on that site, you will lose 3 dice from your Dice Pool the next time you try to Raid them. I really enjoyed playing Seafall but our group just stopped playing for some reason. Dismiss: Return a card to the bottom of its card deck. Making plans for 9 or 10 rounds will allow you to make the most of the Game.
I think we did have a little less excitement to be fair, but we also forgot many details. We agreed after two times through that the post campaign game was not very good.
All in all though, Seafall is an interesting game. First thing first, Seafall is, like with most legacy games, a good looking game.

This also holds true for the Event deck, as it says on Page 12, under 3. It is quite a cheap legacy game, in the UK at least, and is certainly one of the easiest to get your hands on. There are other suggestions that can help however I don’t want to spoil the reveals. I’m curious – are you getting as much out of it a second time around?
